One door closes, another opens

Sometimes things that are initially disappointing have fabulous outcomes. This morning we drove out to Black Mountain Nursery for a coffee and a wrap only to discover that the rain had soaked the tables and chairs in the undercover seating area. So we drove down the road to Guyra, found a cafe with good atmosphere and I ended up enjoying a cheeseburger, fries and a pot of tea in a warm and welcoming environment for the bargain price of $14.

This afternoon one of my favourite students withdrew from Intuitive Anatomy which was initially disappointing, but within the hour someone I respect who has a lot of experience has taken her place. Best of all, she fosters wildlife animals, so we may be treated to visits from some furry companions during class. Bliss!

One door closes and another will open. Here’s the best part, often you’ll realise that the first door needed to close for the new opportunity to present itself, and the new is much better for you and your soul’s purpose than the old (it was a really good cheeseburger 😉). So instead of mourning or being angry or resentful or feeling rejected or betrayed when things don’t work out as you originally anticipated, look for the opportunities. They’re there for you if you allow yourself to see them. 😊
